Beagle or Heeler?
Over at Og's, there's a lively discussion going on about the merits of beagle pups. Now, Old Sarge and I have often discussed getting a dog once our VF*nW responsibilities taper off, but have never been able to agree on what breed. He wants a beagle:
and I want a blue heeler:
So, what do you think? The first person to give me the answer I'm looking for could receive that faggoty Jeff Gordon cooler I've been trying to get rid of.

well, i would get the beagle ( i know that's not what you wanted to hear)
Go for the heeler!
-the Veterinary Technician :)
Go for the Beagle, cause when the little bugger croaks (of natural causes of course...), you can say, "See I was willing to compromise! Now give me my damn heeler!"
LOL
Thank goodness no one suggested we get both!
you might end up with a mixture like we have, behavior wise :)
Get both! Ahaha I had to do it since you mentioned it. I'd get neither. I'm a Rat Terrier fan myself.
do we win the cooler?
We have a Beagle that she bought me as a gift though I don't remember asking for one. She's a good dog though.
Our next door neighbor, no lie, has a Beagle/Heeler mix. Talking about UUUUGGGGLLLLLYYYYY!!!! and noisy.

My dog taylor is half border collie and blue heeler so I'm automatically partial... :)
You always seemed like a chihuahuah lover, to me.
Hehehehh...
Heeler all the way! If in doubt, watch the movie "The last of the dogmen" with Tom Berringer and Barbara Hershey...
I have a heeler/lab mix but my next will be pure heeler. Man those dogs are smart.
I have a beagle/heeler mix and it is the best of both worlds. He is the best natured dog I have ever had.If you can find one I'd go for the compromise and you'll both come out winners.
I know of someone in Missouri who is giving away heeler/beagle puppies. 8 weeks old, free on freecycle.com

We have the best of both, we just rescued a 2mo old beagle/heeler mix from our local animal shelter. I wanted a beagle but I am happy with what I have :)
I have a Blue heeler/beagle mix and I love her. She is the best dog and very very smart. I think a mix of both breeds would be your best bet!
We also just got a Blue heeler/Beagle mix from our local shelter, she is 3 1/2 months old, very sweet and she seems like with training she will be a very good dog, her name is Chloe.
