It's a...

I did something out of the ordinary yesterday- I left work even though there was no one to relieve me. That's not quite as bad as an air traffic controller stepping away from the console, but damn near.

But there really are some things in life that are more important than making nig rocks into little rocks. Getting a peek at my new grandbaby is one.

In all my pregnancies, I had only one sonogram, because Miss Conduct was a pretty good sized baby. My how things have changed! The Eldest Son's girlfriend has had some problems due to placenta previa. Thankfully, that is looking MUCH better. The technician doing the ultrasound was kind enough to let both us grandmas in to watch, and it was just fascinating to me to see that little head, those little fingers, hear the heartbeat. Even at 20 weeks, and only 9 oz., there is a child there.

Oh, and Baby Blob has a name now.

I shall call her granddaughter!
